This spring we rolled out completely revamped and updated features to support research studies. Our comprehensive Research Study component now available was developed after extensive input and feedback from our users.

While research studies are vital parts of conservation and education, aquariums and zoos need to be able to assess which ones make sense for them in terms of resources and goals. They need features that support their ongoing studies, such as being able to efficiently manage stored lab samples. They also need tools that help them access and review past participation.

The new module supports studies for specific animals, for enclosures, and by species. It includes expense tracking, supports multiple questionnaires, optional voting and an approval process. Attach media, manage study requests and quickly record stored samples for a study. Supervisors have the ability to quickly access current and past studies for review.

We’re hoping the new tools provide our users with the support they need for this important facet of animal care and conservation.
